Join the San Jose Parks, Recreation & Neighborhood Services, the City of San Jose, and SJ Councilmember Raul Peralez for the Heinlenville Groundbreaking Ceremony on Thursday May 19th at the construction site on N. 6th Street between Taylor and Jackson Streets.
In 2020, CHCP successfully spearheaded a letter-writing campaign to name a park after the Heinlenville Chinatown that was at that location from 1887 to 1931. The Ng Shing Gung building in History Park, where CHCP's Chinese American Historical Museum is housed, is a replica of the original temple which was located in Heinlenville.
