Student Internship Program

CHCP is providing an experiential learning and employment opportunity for college or post-secondary students as Student Interns to help advance CHCP’s impact. This program is an excellent opportunity for students to learn communication skills, cultural competencies, marketing, and related skills.

• Student Interns will docent at the Chinese American Historical Museum on Saturdays.
• Student Interns will also participate in project work. Projects may include:
• • Supporting CHCP's Oral History Project (research, filming, and video editing)
  • Assisting with Public Archaeology Day programming for families & children
  • Promoting and preparing CHCP's "Pioneering the Valley" Traveling Exhibit for public venues
  • Distributing CHCP's "Uncovering Asian Experiences" video, curriculum, and other ethnic studies material to secondary schools in Santa Clara County
• Student Interns will attend at least one local educational or cultural field trip or outreach event.
• Earliest start date is September 3, 2024.
• Latest completion date is December 31, 2024 (possible extension to January 31, 2025).
• Stipend available: $1,000 (up to $1,500 dependent on candidate’s experience and work duration)
