Peony Performing Arts introduces its 19th annual event
Cantonese Opera Performances at Independence High School Theater, San Jose
August 27 and 28, 2022
12:45 pm - 5:00 pm each day

August 27 will be performing: Chinese Traditional Music Equipment, Flower God, Farewell My Concubine, Qin Yuan Xu, The Red Pink Loyal Soul is Unfinished, YueFei‘s Youth Travel, Love Forever, Meng Jiang Nu looks for Her Husband.

August 28 will be performing: The First Encounter between Lubu and Diaochan, The Longing of Cai Wenji, Separation of Gudu, Spygirl in Chuluo, Love story from Tibet, Tale of the Hair Spinner, Water submerged in the Jinshan, Pair of Embroidered Shoes.

There will be different stories on different days. The titles are rough translations from the Chinese titles. There will be an English MC before every performance telling the story in its entirety in English.

CHCP members and friends will be given a 50% discount on tickets when they mention CHCP. The prices for the tickets are: $40 for back rows, $60 for middle rows, and $80 for front row seats. Reserved tickets can be picked up at the Will Call table in the theater foyer.
