Join author Russell Low in an online presentation of "Three Coins" with all color photographs that really bring the story to life for a new look at his classic all-American story on Sunday, September 3rd, at 1:00 pm PT.

"Three Coins" is the remarkable true story of a nine-year-old girl who was sold into slavery by her parents. Ah Ying was brought to America as a child slave from China in 1880 and was abused by a Chinese merchant family on Jackson street for six years, until with the help of a young Chinese Transcontinental Railroad worker, she finally escaped. Protestant missionaries rescued her from the streets, imprisoning her with their severe way of life, until she escaped from them, only to be kidnapped by the infamous Chinatown Tong gang. But this tough young girl refused to be held down by slave owners, missionaries, or Tong highbinders. She overcame insurmountable obstacles, eventually finding lasting love and determining her own course.
