About the talk: In the past decade, space activity has surged, bringing with it both incredible opportunities and significant challenges. Dr. Lu will share his insights on why mapping the solar system is essential—not only to protect our planet but also to enable the next wave of exploration and economic development in space.
About Dr. Edward Lu: Recipient of NASA’s Distinguished Service Medal, Dr. Lu is a veteran astronaut who flew on two space shuttle missions, a Soyuz mission, and spent six months aboard the International Space Station. As a cofounder of B612, he leads efforts to protect Earth from asteroid impacts and to enable humanity’s expansion into space.
