The Chinese Historical Society of America (CHSA) kicks off the Lunar New Year with a special program featuring San Francisco-born author and educator Fae Myenne Ng. This in-depth discussion focuses on her award-winning memoir, Orphan Bachelors, a personal tale and cultural spotlight on Chinese immigrant men in the 1800s and early 1900s and their unattached experiences in the United States. In conversation, Fae will talk about her book and growing up in San Francisco Chinatown.
This event will be moderated by San Francisco State University professor and author May-Lee Chai.
Admission is free.
