  • February 13, 2024
  • 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
  • Online (via Zoom)

The next Committee of 100 (C100) Asian American Career Ceilings Initiative event will be held on Tuesday, February 13 from 5 to 6 pm ET (2 to 3 pm PT). It will be a fireside chat on the topic  of “The Career Ceiling Challenges in Journalism” and will feature two highly respected journalists, Nicole Dungca, an investigative reporter for the Washington Post and President of the Asian American Journalist Association, and Amy Qin, a reporter for the New York Times

Asian Americans have faced significant career obstacles in the journalism industry, as is true in many industries. The two panelists, who both are long-term veterans in the journalism industry, will share their observations about the career ceilings problem in journalism, their personal experiences, and the advice that they would give to Asian Americans pursuing careers in the industry.

The fireside chat will be conducted by Peter Young, Committee of 100 member and Chair of the Committee of 100 Asian American Career Ceiling Initiative. The webinar will be one hour long. The audience will have the opportunity to ask questions during the last ten minutes of the webinar.
