The Chinese American Museum of Northern California (CAMNC) in Marysville will open their new exhibit, The Pioneer Chinese Families of Northern California, on March 1, 2025, on the same day as the Bok Kai Festival.
Thirteen Chinatowns have signed up for the Pioneer Chinese Families exhibit: Auburn, Eureka, Fiddletown, Folsom, Hanford, Locke, Marysville, Mendocino, Oroville, Red Bluff, Sacramento, San Jose, and Stockton.
At the opening, representatives from each community will do a presentation. CHCP will represent the San Jose community and will reveal three Pioneer Chinese American Families of Santa Clara Valley. CHCP representatives attending will be Co-Founder/Trustee Gerrye Wong, Co-Presidents Kimberly Eng Lee and Arthur Jue, Treasurer Elizabeth Lee, Director Brenda Hee Wong, and CHCP Member Angela Chan.
