For the San Diego Chinese Historical Museum (SDCHM)'s July edition of The Chinese American Experience & Beyond (TCAE&B), SDCHM Advisory Board member Dr. Russell Low will discuss his book, "A Willow Tree Becomes a Forest: The Story of Hop Lee," a narrative of a Chinese teenager who navigated the Pacific Northwest in the late 19th century with a calligraphy brush, a blank journal, a fortune teller's scroll, and a burning desire to become an American.
