CHCP's Chinese American Historical Museum (CAHM) will be open from 2:00 to 6:00 pm on Saturday August 16 during History Park's Spirit of '45 event. The Spirit of '45 event will be held from 2:00 to 10:00 pm on Saturday August 16 at History Park.
Take a trip back in time as the 14-acre History Park is transported to the 1940s with live swing music, a vintage car show, a WWII Tent City, Victory Parade, food trucks, trolley rides, historic building tours, and activities for the whole family.
For the Spirit of '45 event, to honor, celebrate, and preserve the legacy of Chinese American WWII veterans, the Chinese American Historical Museum will present CHCP's brand new exhibit featuring local Chinese American WWII heroes and new banners that tell the story of Chinese American military participation in the WWII China-Burma-India (CBI) Theatre. Plus, a short clip of CHCP's film, "Our Story of War and Remembrance," featuring the stories and contributions of Bay Area Chinese American WWII veterans will be shown on the big screen TV.
ADMISSION: While the Museum is free, you must pay for admission to History Park for the Spirit of '45 event. Information and tickets can be found here.
