Gung Hay Fat Choy!
Gong Xi Fa Cai!
On February 17, 2026, the Asian community will celebrate the Lunar New Year, year 4724 on Chinese calendars, which is Year of the Horse.
The Horse is the seventh animal of the Chinese Zodiac. According to Chinese astrology, the Horse is confident, agreeable, and responsible, although they also tend to dislike being reined in by others. They’re fit and intelligent, adoring physical and mental exertion; they’re decisive but also easily swayed and impatient.
Chinese New Year celebrations traditionally run from Chinese New Year's Eve, the last day of the last month of the lunar calendar, to the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first month, while some may celebrate up to a month.
