  • Online (via Zoom)

Join the San Diego Chinese Historical Museum (SDCHM)'s June 2026 edition of The Chinese American Experience & Beyond (TCAE&B) lecture titled "Vietnam War." The lecture is free and held on Zoom!

During the Vietnam War, Chinese Americans served their country while also facing racism and questions about their identity at home and within the military. Many endured discrimination and racist slurs despite their loyalty and sacrifice, serving bravely as soldiers, medics, interpreters, officers, and Army nurses. Their stories remain an important yet often overlooked part of American and Asian American history.

  • Presenter: Montgomery Hom, Military Historian
  • Co-Presenter: Connie Young Yu, CHCP Advisory Board Member/Historian
