Reflections on Civil Rights & the Asian American Experience
at the United States' Semiquincentennial

In celebration of the United States' Semiquincentennial in 2026, CHCP held a contest, Civil Rights & the Asian American Experience, for submissions from California residents connecting historical Asian American civil rights events to the present. The contest asked for submissions of original poems, artwork, or videos, accompanied by an artistic statement describing their work.

The contest is now over and all the entries have been judged and votes have been tallied.
