Take the Survey

Please help the Parks Department of the City of San Jose to name a new park at Rinconada Drive. The naming survey (Survey #2) is now open!

View the Presentation of the Park Site, Stormwater Solutions, and Naming that was presented at a Community Meeting on January 29, 2026.

The name, Bill Kee Park, has been submitted and is under consideration as one of the eligible names for the park. Bill Kee (1902-1989), father of CHCP Co-Founder/Trustee Gerrye Wong, was a Chinese American entrepreneur and community organizer in San José from 1937-1947. As a spokesman for the San Jose Chinatown community, he led an effort to preserve the original 1888 Ng Shing Gung temple as a historic landmark, the last remaining building from the Heinlenville Chinatown.
